The Moment Distance Felt Easier Because She Still Chose Me

They are starting college in different cities, and distance quickly became their new normal. shared walls, roommates, family, intimacy was a challenge. Not for a lack of desire, life just gets in the way. What kept them together was simple: consistent effort, patience, and the small moments that reminded them they were still choosing each other.

We have been apart since starting college, so barely having communication or the ability to be together has been a challenge. Even though we met every few months during semester breaks, it never felt complete. When it came to intimacy it was even harder. It feels horrible, but sometimes it leads to the best kind of relationship, one that does not depend on constant closeness.
