How do you calculate a menstrual cycle?
A menstrual cycle is counted from day 1 of your period to the day before your next period starts, on average about 28 days. You can estimate menstruation and ovulation faster using our calculator.
When will I start ovulating?
Most women ovulate 14 days before menstruation. For those with 30-day cycles, they usually ovulate around day 16 of their cycle.
Does this calculator calculate accurately?
Yes. You can get pregnant from sex up to 5 days before ovulation. This is because sperm can survive inside the body for that long, waiting for an egg. Your most fertile days are the 2–3 days immediately before ovulation.
Can I get pregnant before ovulation?
It's tougher to estimate ovulation timing if your periods are irregular. Instead, you can try tracking symptoms like cervical mucus changes or use ovulation testing.
