The guest list? Just me and my four favorite troublemakers.

And then… Spinel. Spinel is not interested in “taking things slow.” Spinel kicks the door open like the final boss in a video game. No introductions. No small talk. Just pure chaotic energy. At one point I'm pretty sure my soul left my body, grabbed a snack, and came back to watch.

I thought that was the peak of the evening. And then my husband got home and walked right into the aftermath of what can only be described as a very enthusiastic situation.

I froze. The room did not. All that was left was a symphony of buzzing and bad timing.

He looked at me, paused, and said, “So… is it my turn or am I interrupting?”
