I made sure to give this new part a good poking, and the plastic seems thicker/stronger than most of what I’ve seen in other sex toy packaging. I’m not sure why they changed over but there’s really nothing wrong with the new style. The box and holder will keep everything safe during transit.

For those concerned about privacy, Lovense makes sure that all their toys are shipped discreetly. The outer box is plain cardboard with a barcode sticker – that’s it. Having 3 vibration points, one would think the buttons would be complicated. But there is a single one conveniently located on the side of the toy. Hardpress it for 3 seconds and the toy will turn on. Quick press the same button to cycle through the 3 steady levels and 10 patterns. Finally, hard press the button for around 3 seconds to turn it off. Easy peasy.

Lovense toys are generally powerful, but the real technological power aspect shines in their app. There’s a plethora of ways to play with your toy. From Bluetooth pairing and long-distance connections to spicy games that Lapis and the other products will sync to.

Bluetooth Connection

Bluetooth comes with its own problems (no matter what the tech). Like, distanced or … walls. Even crossing your legs while donning a wearable toy will decrease the distance. I’ve also seen that sitting on a Lush 3 butt plug will drop it by a little more. but that’s the fault of BT. Hopefully, with each new update, things will get better.

But does all this mean you should ignore this feature? Absolutely not. There will be plenty of opportunities to use Lapis in close proximity – especially since this is a toy you’re not going to wear out of the bedroom. Design & Build Quality

The body-safe silicone was as I expected (I’ve tested all other Lovense toys). There’s a tiny bit of drag, but that’s to be expected and it will immediately go away when you apply lube (which we all should). The design is solid and I could feel a nice weight to the toy.

The adjustable neck is going to be the real star, in my opinion. I align it to a prostate massager – no two bodies are the same to get “just the right stimulation or fit”. The same goes for strapless strapons.

Vibrations, Patterns, & Intensity

Pleasure & Comfort

Being able to adjust Lapis’ neck made a total difference when it came to comfort. At its closest “V” it was too tight and the angle would have created unpleasant pressure on my G-spot. I will say that this won’t be a plug-and-play toy. You’ll have to fidget and test with the neck angles to find what’s right for you. After that, you’ll know where to set it and can play immediately.

The vibrations were deep and rumbly and every steady setting. I would like to program the toy to change the steady levels to something higher, but that’s only because I’m a power queen.

Since I don’t have anyone to test it on, I had to use a Max 2 as the “other person”. Lapis stayed in place for gentle thrusting. However, if you’re someone who likes passionate play, having their legs open, or changing positions, I would suggest getting a harness for extra stability.

I like to rate battery life by comparing the recharge time versus the use time. The magnetic charging clip with USB end will get you 105 minutes to a full charge. Then, if you play on the highest possible vibration levels, you’ll get 58-62 minutes and 146-156 minutes on the lowest. If we average everything out (keeping in mind that I failed math class in high school) the average seems to be about a 1:1 ratio for charging vs use. This is fairly decent considering there are 3 motors/vibrators going at the same time.
