2. Generic versions of Viagra are available. FACT<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similar to many other medications on the market, you will end up paying more for a brand name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. There are side effects. FACT<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nearly all medication will have some form of side effect. The little blue pill can cause mild side effects such as back pain, dizziness, flushing, headache, indigestion, muscle pain, nausea, rash, stuffy nose, etc. These should go away within a few days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. It will make you horny.  MYTH<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m not sure why people thought this, but it will NOT protect you from diseases or infections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. You need a prescription to get it. FACT<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, because there are things that a patient needs to know. However, it\u2019s pretty easy to get.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. It had medicine conflicts. FACT<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some meds, like nitrates, can have a bad reaction to Viagra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. You\u2019ll have a boner for as long as the pill lasts. MYTH<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also nope.  If you can get yourself excited, it will help your erection along. That\u2019s it. You will also deflate after you ejaculate or any other reason you would go soft. You won\u2019t get a persistent tent pitch like in some comedy movie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. You can buy fake pills. FACT<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should be no surprise, that absolutely yes, you can buy fake Viagra. It\u2019s actually one of the most counterfeit drugs in the world. If you\u2019re not sure, the real pills are all the same color blue and the F in Pfizer is a unique font. They also come in a 4-pack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11. You can get pregnant when using Viagra. FACT<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unless you\u2019re using a condom or other form of birth control (even then it\u2019s not 100%), the little swimmers will go ahead and do their job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

12. You should take it on an empty stomach. FACT<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This one is also true. If you think about how hard it is to have sex with a full tummy AND a working penis, you can see how it would be helpful to pop the pill when you haven\u2019t eaten that much (or had alcohol).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

13. It\u2019s okay to take a second pill in one day. MYTH<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One pill per 24-hours \u2013 no more. Taking another will not change or help things. You also shouldn\u2019t combine it with any other ED medication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14. It will not affect your fertility. MYTH<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another, very<\/i> rare, side effect is that it could affect the sperm. But, for most people, it will probably end up helping the baby-making process because you\u2019ll be able to get an erection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
