Yes, this is a day to show your pets some extra love and care. But what about human pets? The wonderful puppies, kitties, ponies, and other fuzzy creatures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BATHROOM PAMPERING<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This can include giving them a long, warm bath with lots of bubbles in their favorite scent. After they are dry, rub a good lotion into their skin. Finish it off with a manicure or pedicure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MAKE DELICIOUS TREATS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They can be healthy, gourmet, junk food \u2013 anything they love but don\u2019t usually get. It\u2019s also a good time to bake pet treats to save for future rewards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GIVE THEM A SOCIAL DAY<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don\u2019t have a lot of time to socialize with other human pets, organize an afternoon with other owners to get all your cuties together to socialize and have some fun. Make it extra special by bringing games that everyone can participate in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TAKE THEM ON A HIKE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your city-bound, it\u2019s a perfect time to embrace nature and go someplace with trees, fresh air, and seclusion \u2013 the seclusion is important so a non-consenting or vanilla person doesn\u2019t stumble upon things. Take a walk, maybe even go camping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GO OFF LEASH<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Giving your beloved pet some time off leash, and letting them do whatever they want that day (within your predetermined negotiations), can be a wonderful gift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GIVE THEM STIMULATION<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, it can be exactly what you think I mean by \u201cstimulation\u201d \u2013 so much that they can\u2019t walk the next day. OR it can also be mental stimulation like puzzles etc. We need to care for their minds as well as their bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DO SOME OLD AND NEW TRAINING<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s never a bad thing to review your old training regime and possibly make new adjustments. You can also add a new trick for them to practice. It\u2019s also great to incorporate those special treats we talked about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THROW A PARTY<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similar to a socializing party, except the entire focus is YOUR pet. There can be cake for masters and one for pets, gift bags with prizes and yummies, games, decorations, you name it! Break out Pinterest and look up pet parties \u2013 you\u2019ll have an overload of ideas!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MOVIE NIGHT<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curl up on the sofa with some snacks (it might be a treat for them just to be allowed on the sofa at all), and watch some animal movies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DRESS THEM UP<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buy them a new outfit and have their wear it on their special day. Spoil them extra by getting them SEVERAL outfits. Whether they are human clothes for outside or more kink-appropriate items for inside play is up to you. Don\u2019t forget to wrap the gift nicely\u2026and make them use their teeth to open it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LET THEM SLEEP ON THE BED<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just like the sofa, maybe they\u2019re not allowed on furniture. However, it doesn\u2019t hurt to give them one night snuggled up against you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GIVE THEM A <\/strong><\/span>MASSAGE<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ultimate relaxation (or foreplay) – it’s even better after they are squeaky clean after a bath. Go the extra mile and make your own massage oil using essential oils that are great for the skin or their mood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TAKE THEM SWIMMING<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want your pet to go all-natural, you’ll have to find a private place to swim. Otherwise, give them a cute pet-print swim suit and take them out for a day at the beach or pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BUY <\/strong><\/span>THEM<\/span><\/strong> NEW TOYS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Either choose them yourself or let your pet choose – this can be pet themed or whatever you feel is appropriate (from a pet store or a human toy store).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
