Dear Mark,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It might sound like an old, worn-out answer, but, you\u2019re not alone.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finding partners (whether one serious or several casual) is not always an easy thing. After pondering your dilemma, I think there are a few options…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.  COMPUTER SOLUTION<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t worry, I\u2019ll get to the non-digital stuff after, but I felt this was important to address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For better or worse, everything <\/em>is on computers now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everything<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This includes the dating and sex scene.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By leaving out anything <\/em>digital, you\u2019re denying yourself a larger pool of candidates \u2013 and therefore a greater chance of finding someone you\u2019re compatible with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s especially key for women in the 40-50+ age brakes who use apps and such as a safe way to test the waters of the dating scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s not just women that flock to these platforms either. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both <\/em>sexes use it as a vetting system to omit the creeps, assholes, crazies, or those that just aren\u2019t worth the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, this means you\u2019re going to be competing against many other men (more so<\/em> if you\u2019re going after younger women on apps that have a younger user base), scammers, and fake profiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And <\/em>it comes with its own set of pros, cons, and general frustrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll be able to sift through people with something as simple as a swipe and not waste your<\/em> time as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the \u201ctyping on a phone\u201d problem \u2013 I totally understand (I\u2019m a key masher to the point you\u2019d swear I was dyslexic). If you have a tablet, you can load the app on there. It will be a million times easier to type and you can stay connected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.  <\/strong>NON-COMPUTER SOLUTION<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re determined to keep it old-school (which is okay too), you’ll have to go out more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Granted, I have no idea how often you go out now<\/em>, but you did mention you have your own small business \u2013 and I know those require a lot<\/strong><\/em> of hours  \u2013 so, I\u2019m not sure how much you put yourself into the dating scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some might suggest the old fallback of, \u201cgo to a bar.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019d tell them to stop giving advice.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most women go out to bars to have fun with friends and have a drink, and most don\u2019t want to be hit on where the environment is already charged with booze, tension, and impaired decision-making abilities. The same goes for anywhere else people go to be in their own little world or comfort zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Try places where it’s expected to socialize with new people:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
