Gravity Thrusting Dildo Review – Will It Blow Your Mind?

This year, Lovense has been on a wonderful, lustful rampage of sex toy releases. And among these is Gravity – a thrusting dildo with all the brand’s bells and whistles.

However, how does it actually hold up in the bedroom? In this review I’ll go over all the ins and outs (pun intended) of the toy, so you can decide if it’s something that will tickle your fancy. Let’s dive in.

WHAT IS GRAVITY

A “thrusting dildo” might seem rather redundant to some people – since the idea is to move it in and out anyways. But in the case of these yummy toys, there are motors inside that do the thrusting for you. This way, you can focus on the sensations and pleasure and save your wrist the wear and tear.

However, they are also the kind of toy that comes with a plethora of different designs – with each company having their own twist on what they think makes it the optimal experience. Luckily, I’ve played with my fair share of toys, so I know what works ,what doesn’t, and what belongs in the fiery depths of hell.

THE PACKAGING & INSIDES

Yes, yes. We’re starting with packaging again. But believe it or not, it’s kind of important (at least in its own way, and especially if you’ve never bought Lovense brand before).

First, all toys are shipped in plain packaging – just a brown box that covers that actual toy packaging. Just in case you don’t want others peeping for whatever reason. And while the actual Lovense package design is pretty, I’m more concerned with the inside.

  • There’s a two-layer, stable foam cut out to make sure the toy stays safe all the way to your door. Because let’s face it, sometimes delivery people get careless or even kicky.
  • Then there’s Gravity with the suction cup (detached and nestled to the side).
  • A user guide/manual
  • Magnetic clip charging cable
  • Black satin baggie to keep it clean during storage

THE TOY & ITS GOODIES

There are a lot of things I want to touch on, so let’s do it point by point (at least for the sake of easy-reading).

  • First, you’ll notice there’s a cap at the bottom of Gravity. You keep this one when you’re not using the suction cup attachment. It’s worth pointing out that it doesn’t matter if the inside of this part gets wet. The cap is to make sure it stays looking nice.

  • The suction cup has a hefty screw attachment and a decent-looking cup end. I didn’t test the stretch of the suction in the “traditional way” because, in my opinion, wasn’t going to be thorough enough. I’ve had far too many suction cup toys that detach far too easily, and I was going to make sure this little sucker wasn’t going to fail.

  • I started with the tiles floors and gave a decent pull. The cup wouldn’t budge. Next was against the painted matte finish of my bedroom walls. It was okay. It would probably hold up against some of Gravity’s action but nothing too intense. The shiny paint finish of my interior doors was better than the walls.  Same with the fake wood slats of my cabinets.

  • In a nutshell, the suction cup is very good. But the smoother and less porous the surface, the better it’s going to stay. So, something like a tile floor is going to be perfect. Gravity will definitely stay put.

  • Now on to the “accordion” section of Gravity. All thrusting dildos have this. It allows the toy mechanism to move in and out. Some brands have it near the base. Some near the top. This one has it near the base – with just enough room to hold it. Personally, I like this design decision because there won’t be any pinching while allowing for maximum thrust range.

  • Now here is where some people might not be super happy. Gravity runs at 140 strokes per minute (which is great). But the stroke length is only 3 cm (1.18 in). So, if you’re hoping for a super-deep toy (at least running on its own), this isn’t for you. Keeping in mind, you CAN go deeper if you manually move it in yourself. However, keep in mind that stroke depth pro/con is a personal thing. Some might love it.

GRAVITY’S PERFORMANCE

My experiments with Gravity were eager, to say the least. But I will say that my biggest piece of advice is to make sure you’re well-lubricated. Even if it’s body-safe silicone, it’s always best practice to add a little extra lube.

I started with vibrations, which were pleasant. They weren’t nearly as strong as, let’s say, Domi or even Nora. But I would put it on par with something like Dolce or Osci. Meaning they’re not earthquake vibes, but still quite pleasurable. Meaning, power-queens might not fall in love.

The patterns weren’t my cup of tea – but that’s me with ALL sex toys. I always prefer steady vibrations.

When it came to the trusting feature, I thought 1-ish inch wasn’t going to feel like much. However, when you actually use the toy, it feels like much more. I personally liked it – keeping in mind I’ve used sex machines and even then I didn’t like the deep penetration of them.

I felt zero friction/contact/interference from the accordion section – which is excellent.

I did find the best sensations came from tilting it in a way that would target my g-spot. Although I personally found it strange to try and thrust it while the motor was also thrusting.

As for the suction cup, I’m not the best candidate for a review – mostly because my knees are shot, and kneeling for a while hurts like hell. This meant the floor wasn’t a good option (even with pillows). But I did give it a quick try and could see some people loving it. I had better success with the door because I could stand and brace myself.

I’ll also add that finding the “sweet spot” on the wall did take a bit of testing on my part. I had to move the suction cup a few times to find where I was most comfortable standing/leaning over.  But then I guess you can easily remember that spot for future playtime.

GRAVITY THRUSTING DILDO REVIEW – END THOUGHTS

gravity thrusting dildo review

I think Gravity is a great toy with many design choices that were clearly well thought out. When it comes to those who will love it? I think people who want a gentler toy to start, with the option of decent power on higher levels, Gravity is perfect.

But if you’re a power queen, I don’t think this is the toy for you. If you want insane deep thrusting, it’s better just to go for a sex machine or a human partner with excellent stamina.

I also thought that some people might want to try this toy anally. However, I don’t think this toy was designed that way. Granted, there’s a flared base via the suction cup and the idea of thrusting is very tempting. But even if the screw attachment for the toy is quite strong, it’s still detachable and that always makes me nervous – no matter how great a toy is.

And cam models will find this toy an excellent addition to their performances – especially couples with Lovense tipping functions.

All in all, would I recommend this toy? Totally!
